How to get to Rochester, MN?

Flying into Rochester, MN:

Rochester's airport is just south of the city.
From the airport their are shuttles/taxis as well as rental cars.

Flying into Minneapolis, MN:

The twin cities' airport is about a 80 minute drive north of Rochester.
From the airport there are two shuttle services (#1 & #2) to Rochester as well as rental cars.


Where to stay in Rochester, MN?

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn in Rochester. The block will be held until June 24, 2016.

Minneapolis is within driving distance - with attractions such as the Mall of AmericaTarget Fieldamong many others.

Nearby Lanesboro (40 mins by car) is frequently listed as one of the best small towns to visit in America, and has many options for outdoors activities including bicycling, canoeing, river tubing, and local art culture. More information can be found here

What to do in greater Minnesota?

For things to do in greater Minnesota, the lake country to the north of the twin cities is a great idea. This is where Seth's family often vacationed to go swimming, boating, and fishing. More information about Brainerd, Nisswa, and other small towns amongst MN's 10,000 lakes can be found here.

In general, the website Explore Minnesota can be used to find ideas about things to do in MN.

Last but not least, Minnesota contains the Boundary Water Canoe Area and Voyageurs National Park. Both are far to the north in MN, but offer incredible camping, hiking and, of course, canoeing.
